Tanning Timeline
Before Your Appointment
Shave/Wax 24 hours prior to service
Exfoliate with an oil-free product
Arrive to your session with fresh skin. (i.e. no lotion, makeup, deodorant or perfume)
Wear or bring dark, loose-fitting clothing
During Set Time
Avoid anything that will get the spray tan wet and do not apply products to skin. Avoid friction.
No skin to skin contact during the set time to avoid transfer. If you choose an overnight solution, wear long sleeves/pants while sleeping.
During warmer months/climates stay away from sweat-causing activities. Applying setting powder will help.
Follow recommended first rinse time and shower with warm water. Pat dry with towel. Do not rub!
Maintaining Your Tan
Start to moisturize twelve hours post-spray and continue to moisturize daily.
Resume normal, soap showers 24 hours post-spray.
Moisturizers, body washes, sunscreens should not contain alcohols, mineral oils, or sulfates.
Pools, oceans, hot tubs are drying to the skin and will prematurely fade the tan.
Advise client to rinse/shower immediately after these activities and apply tan extending lotion.
Anti-Aging products with AHAs/retinols and topical acne medication should be avoided. Recommend to use a hydrating moisturizer on the face.
Services such as manicures/pedicures, massages, aesthetic treatments should be booked prior to tanning appointment for best results.
